A new Imaginary trailer has been released by Lionsgate, teasing some of the intimidating imaginary friends that the horror movie will feature. The film is set to premiere in theaters on Friday, March 8.
The most prominent friend the video introduces is Chauncey the Bear — a stuffed bear that will “never ever leave you.” As the trailer goes on, we see that not all is at it seems with Chauncey, who has an eerie friendship with a young girl named Alice.
“When Jessica (DeWanda Wise) moves back into her childhood home with her family, her youngest stepdaughter Alice (Pyper Braun) develops an eerie attachment to a stuffed bear named Chauncey she finds in the basement,” reads the movie’s synopsis. “Alice starts playing games with Chauncey that begin playful and become increasingly sinister. As Alice’s behavior becomes more and more concerning, Jessica intervenes only to realize Chauncey is much more than the stuffed toy bear she believed him to be.”

Who is starring in Imaginary?
The horror movie stars DeWanda Wise (Someone Great) as Jessica and Pyper Braun (Country Comfort) as Alice. The rest of the cast includes Tom Payne (MindGamers), Taegen Burns (The Gateway), Veronica Falcón (A Million Miles Away), and Betty Buckley (Split).
