ComingSoon is debuting an exclusive The Painter trailer and poster from the Jon Voight-led action thriller from Paramount Global Content Distribution. The film is set to debut in select theaters on Friday, January 5. After that, it’ll be released digitally on Tuesday, January 9.
“An ex-CIA operative turned painter is thrown back into a dangerous world when a mysterious woman from his past resurfaces,” reads the movie’s synopsis. “Now exposed and targeted by a relentless killer and a rogue black ops program, he must rely on skills he thought he left behind in a high-stakes game of survival. Charlie Weber (How to Get Away with Murder), Academy Award Winner Jon Voight (Coming Home), and Madison Bailey (Outer Banks) star in this edge-of-your-seat thriller.”

Who directed The Painter?
The Painter was directed by Kimani Ray Smith and written by Brian Buccellato. It stars Charlie Weber, Jon Voight, and Madison Bailey and was produced by Steven Paul. Executive producers are Scott Karol and Charles Cooper. The film is rated R for “violence throughout, language, and brief sexuality.”
