Amazon Studios has dropped the Candy Cane Lane teaser trailer for its forthcoming holiday comedy, starring Eddie Murphy and Tracee Ellis Ross.
The video features Murphy’s Chris, the father of competitive family who’s determined to do whatever it takes to win the annual Christmas home decoration contest. However, a deal with an elf will derail his holiday plans after some of the Christmas decorations suddenly come to life. The movie will be available for streaming on December 1, exclusively on Prime Video.

What is Candy Cane Lane about?
“This holiday comedy adventure follows a man on a mission to win his neighborhood’s annual Christmas home decoration contest,” reads the synopsis. “After Chris inadvertently makes a deal with a mischievous elf named Pepper to better his chances of winning, she casts a magic spell that brings the 12 Days of Christmas to life, and wreaks havoc on the whole town. At the risk of ruining the holidays for his family, Chris, his wife Carol and their three children must race against the clock to break Pepper’s spell, battle deviously magical characters, and save Christmas for everyone.”
Candy Cane Lane is directed by Reginald Hudlin from a spec script written by Kelly Younger, which was inspired by Younger’s childhood holiday experiences. The film also stars Jillian Bell, Thaddeus J. Mixson, Ken Marino, Nick Offerman, Robin Thede, Chris Redd, Genneya Walton, Madison Thomas, D.C. Young Fly, Riki Lindhome, Anjelah Johnson-Reyes, Lombardo Boyar, Danielle Pinnock, and Timothy Simons.
It is produced by Murphy as part of his three-picture and first-look film deal with Amazon Studios, along with Brian Grazer, Karen Lunder, and Charisse Hewitt-Webster. It is executive produced by Doug Merrifield.
