Lionsgate has released the official Cobweb trailer for its upcoming supernatural horror thriller, featuring Cloverfield’s Lizzy Caplan and The Boys’ Antony Starr as parents to a young boy who’s being tormented by the strange things happening at his house. The video also teases something eerie about Caplan and Starr’s characters, who are seemingly harboring a dark secret. The film is scheduled to arrive in theaters on July 21.

What is Cobweb about?
“Eight-year-old Peter is plagued by a mysterious, constant tap, tap from inside his bedroom wall – a tapping that his parents insist is all in his imagination,” reads the synopsis. “As Peter’s fear intensifies, he believes that his parents could be hiding a terrible, dangerous secret and questions their trust. And for a child, what could be more frightening than that?”
Written by Chris Thomas Devlin, Cobweb serves as the feature directorial debut of Samuel Bodin. The film stars BAFTA nominee Woody Norman as Peter, Lizzy Caplan as Carol, Antony Starr as Mark, and Cleopatra Coleman as Miss Devine.
The film is produced by Roy Lee, Andrew Childs, Evan Goldberg, Seth Rogen, James Weaver, and Josh Fagen. It hails from Vertigo Entertainment and Point Grey Pictures.
