Peacock has dropped an official trailer for They/Them, its forthcoming horror thriller that will be available for streaming on August 5. The video features a group of LGBTQ+ campers who are forced to attend a conversion camp, which has unconventional methods. The campers’ already daunting situation gets much worse with the arrival of a masked killer.

They/Them stars Kevin Bacon, Anna Chlumsky (Inventing Anna), Theo Germaine (The Politician), Carrie Preston (Claws), Quei Tann (Dear White People), Austin Crute (Booksmart), Monique Kim (Looks That Kill), Anna Lore (All American), Cooper Koch (A New York Christmas Wedding), and Darwin del Fabro (Dangerous Liaisons).
“Kevin Bacon plays Owen Whistler in this slasher horror film set at an LGBTQIA+ conversion camp,” reads the official synopsis for the film. “Several queer and trans campers join Whistler for a week of programming intended to ‘help them find a new sense of freedom.’ As the camp’s methods become increasingly more psychologically unsettling, the campers must work together to protect themselves. When a mysterious killer starts claiming victims, things get even more dangerous.”

The film is directed by award-winning screenwriter John Logan (Gladiator, The Aviator, Hugo, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, Skyfall), who will be making his directorial debut with the film.
