A brand new international trailer for Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary’s long-awaited film adaptation of Dune has surfaced online, featuring lots of new footage that highlights the battle for Arrakis.
The Dune international trailer, which you can check out below, providing a new look at Timothée Chalamet’s Paul, who is seen having a vivid vision of his death while also feeling the massive weight of continuing the legacy of House Atreides into the future. It also continues to hype up the battle for Arrakis as House Atreides faces the Emperor’s trap, and House Harkonnen’s wrath, who had been the desert planet’s long-time steward. The video also gives us a preview of the planet’s most valuable resource called spice which is a drug that can extend human life and makes faster-than-light travel possible.
This also comes after Dune had recently secured its China release date, which is the world’s second-biggest film market. The Denis Villeneuve-directed sci-fi epic is slated to hit theaters in China on October 22, the same opening date as its U.S. theatrical and HBO Max debut. Following its world premiere at the 2021 Venice International Film Festival, the film is now available in international theaters and has already shown promising results with a current gross of over $36 million at the box office from 24 markets including France, Belgium, Spain Norway, Denmark, Hong Kong, and more.

Based on Frank Herbert’s 1965 novel, Dune will feature a star-studded cast including Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Oscar Isaac, Josh Brolin, Stellan Skarsgård, Dave Bautista, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Zendaya, Chang Chen, Sharon Duncan-Brewster, with Charlotte Rampling, Jason Momoa, and Javier Bardem.

Dune is directed and executive produced by Denis Villeneuve from a screenplay he co-wrote with Jon Spaihts and Eric Roth. It is produced by Cale Boyter, Joe Caracciolo Jr., and Mary Parent. Oscar-winning and multiple Oscar-nominated composer Hans Zimmer (Blade Runner 2049) is creating the score.
