Roadside Attractions has released a brand new trailer for their forthcoming biographical drama Joe Bell, starring Mark Wahlberg and Reid Miller. The new trailer, which you can check out below, highlights a father’s long journey into accepting the death of his beloved son while also trying his best to share awareness about bullying. The film is currently slated to hit the theaters on Friday, July 23.

Joe Bell tells the intimate and emotional true story of an Oregonian father who pays tribute to his gay teenage son Jadin, embarking on a self-reflective walk across America to speak his heart to heartland citizens about the real and terrifying costs of bullying.
The film is directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green (King Richard) from a screenplay adapted by Academy Award-winning scribes Diana Ossana and Larry McMurtry (Brokeback Mountain). It stars Mark Wahlberg, Connie Britton, Reid Miller, Maxwell Jenkins, and Gary Sinise.

Joe Bell is produced by Daniela Taplin Lundberg, Riva Marker, Jake Gyllenhaal, Eva Maria Daniels, Cary Fukunaga, Ryan Ahrens, Wahlberg, and Stephen Levinson. Executive producers are Jill Ahrens, Ben Renzo, Tony Parker, Derick Brooks, Michael Finley, and Drew Brees along with Ossan McMurtry, Paris Kassidokostas-Latsis, Terry Dougas, and Jean-Luc De Fanti.
The film had its world premiere last year at the Toronto International Film Festival.
