Marvel Studios has revealed another behind-the-scenes featurette for their long-awaited Black Widow movie, featuring interviews by Marvel’s chief creative officer Kevin Feige, Scarlett Johansson, and Rachel Weisz. The film will finally make its debut this Friday, July 9 in theaters and on Disney+ with Premier Access.
The new Black Widow featurette, which you can check out below, gives a highlight to the film’s future role in Phase 4 of the expanding Marvel Cinematic Universe as well as how it would allow fans to be able to look at previous MCU films in a different light. It also seemingly teases how the new characters that are set to be introduced in the upcoming film might also potentially be featured in future MCU movies or series.

In Marvel Studios’ action-packed spy thriller movie that will be set between the events of Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War, Natasha Romanoff aka Black Widow confronts the darker parts of her ledger when a dangerous conspiracy with ties to her past arises. Pursued by a force that will stop at nothing to bring her down, Natasha must deal with her history as a spy and the broken relationships left in her wake long before she became an Avenger.

Black Widow will serve as the first movie in Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Phase 4. Joining Johansson are David Harbour as Alexei/Red Guardian, Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, and Rachel Weisz as Melina Vostokoff. Joining them are William Hurt as Thaddeus Ross, Ray Winstone as Dreykov, and O-T Fagbenle as Rick Mason.

Black Widow is directed by Cate Shortland (Lore) from a screenplay written by WandaVision head writer Jac Schaeffer, who is continuing her partnership with the studio after recently signing an overall deal with Marvel Studios and 20th Television. It is produced by Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige.
