Sony Pictures has released the official Here Today trailer for acclaimed actor-director Billy Crystal‘s upcoming new comedy feature, which stars Crystal and Emmy winner Tiffany Haddish. Based on Alan Zweibel’s short story “The Prize,” the film is directed by Billy Crystal from a screenplay he co-adapted with fellow Saturday Night Live alum Zweibel. This marks Crystal’s first directorial feature project in a long while since directing 2001’s sports drama titled 61*.
In Here Today, a veteran comedy writer Charlie Burnz meets New York singer Emma Payge. They go on to form an unlikely yet hilarious and touching friendship that kicks the generation gap aside and redefines the meaning of love and trust.
The film will star Crystal, Tiffany Haddish (Girls’ Trip), Penn Badgley (You, Gossip Girl), Laura Benanti (Gossip Girl, Younger), Louisa Krause (The Girlfriend Experience, Dark Waters), Anna Deavere Smith (Flora & Ulysses, For The People) and Nyambi Nyambi (The Good Fight, Blindspotting).
