Although the real NFL Draft Day is still a month away, fans are likely to have a better appreciation for what goes on behind the scenes after they’ve checked out the new film from legendary director Ivan Reitman (Ghostbusters, Stripes), opening in theaters this Friday, April 11.
Kevin Costner stars as Cleveland Browns general Manager Sonny Weaver, Jr. who, on the eve of the draft, trades away a bit more than he should have in an effort to secure the number one pick. Now he’s facing a ticking clock to find a way to turn his mistake around while simultaneously dealing with a number of increasingly-complicated mini-crises both professional and personal in nature.
ComingSoon.net sat down with Costner and co-stars Jennifer Garner, Arian Foster, Terry Crews, Josh Pence and Tom Welling to discuss Draft Day‘s unique approach to the sports comedy. Check out the interviews in the player below and catch the film in theaters this Friday!
