Clifford The Big Red Dog First Look Teases 2021 Release

Paramount Pictures has released the first teaser for their upcoming live-action/CG-hyrid film adaptation of Clifford The Big Red Dog, offering us our first look at the iconic titular character’s big screen debut. Starring Big Little Lies alum Darby Camp, the film is scheduled to make its debut on November 5, 2021. Check out the video in the player below!

In Clifford The Big Red Dog, When middle-schooler Emily Elizabeth meets a magical animal rescuer who gifts her a little, red puppy, she never anticipated waking up to find a giant ten-foot hound in her small New York City apartment. While her single mom is away for business, Emily and her fun but impulsive uncle Casey set out on an adventure that will keep you on the edge-of-your-seat as our heroes take a bite out of the Big Apple. Based on the beloved Scholastic book character, Clifford will teach the world how to love big!

The film stars Darby Camp (Big Little Lies), Jack Whitehall (Bad Education, Jungle Cruise), John Cleese (Monty Python, Harry Potter) and Resident Evil alum Sienna Guillory. It will also feature Izaac Wang (Good Boys), David Alan Grier (The Carmichael Show), Rosie Perez (Birds of Prey), SNL mainstay Kenan Thompson, Paul Rodriguez and Jessica Keenan Wyn.

Based on the children’s book series by Norman Bridwell, the film is directed by Walt Becker from screenplay written by Jay Scherick, David Ronn, Annie Mumolo, and Stan Chervin. Jordan Kerner and Scholastic Entertainment’s Deborah Forte are also producing. Clifford The Big Red Dog was first adapted into an animated series by PBS which ran on-air for two seasons from 2000 to 2003.
