Netflix has released the official trailer for Nerve filmmaking duo Ariel Schulman and Henry Joost’s newest sci-fi action crime film titled Project Power. The video features Oscar winner Jamie Foxx and Golden Globe nominee Joseph Gordon-Levitt as their characters try to take down a drug operation that produces pills that allow people to gain superhuman abilities. On the streets of New Orleans, word begins to spread about a mysterious new pill that unlocks superpowers unique to each user. The catch: You don’t know what will happen until you take it. While some develop bulletproof skin, invisibility, and super strength, others exhibit a deadlier reaction. But when the pill escalates crime within the city to dangerous levels, a local cop (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) teams with a teenage dealer (Dominique Fishback) and a former soldier fueled by a secret vendetta (Jamie Foxx) to fight power with power and risk-taking the pill in order to track down and stop the group responsible for creating it.
Project Power stars Jamie Foxx (Ray, The Amazing Spider-Man 2), Joseph Gordon-Levitt (Inception), and Dominique Fishback (The Deuce). It will also feature Rodrigo Santoro (Westworld), Amy Landecker (Transparent), rapper Colson Baker aka Machine Gun Kelly (Nerve) along with Allen Maldonado, Andrene Ward-Hammond and Kyanna Simpson

Project Power is directed by Ariel Schulman and Henry Joost from a script written by Mattson Tomlin (The Batman). It is being produced by Eric Newman (Narcos, Bright) and Bryan Unkeless (I, Tonya). This project will be Foxx and Gordon-Levitt’s first ever venture with Netflix.
Foxx will next be seen in Disney-Pixar’s newest animated film Soul and a Mike Tyson biographic film titled Finding Mike. Meanwhile, Gordon-Levitt’s crime drama film The Trial of the Chicago 7 has been recently acquired by Netflix and is planning to release it later this year.
