His first appearance in a film he didn’t direct in more than a decade, Woody Allen joins writer-director-star John Turturro in the upcoming Fading Gigolo, which has, today, debuted a trailer that highlights its inclusion in the upcoming Toronto Film Festival. Check it out in the player below!
Allen plays as bookseller-turned-pimp to Turturro’s middle-aged neophyte hustler, in the left-field comedy. The premise is said to be as inspired as it is absurd with Turturro sharing own affecting and surprisingly romantic vision of New York City.
Bob Balaban, Vanessa Paradis, Live Schreiber, Sharon Stone and Sofia Vergara also star.
