Although Fast & Furious 6 doesn’t hit theaters until this Friday, May 24, work is already underway for a seventh big screen entry, planned for July 11, 2014. Speaking today with Variety, franchise star Vin Diesel says that, while the past few films have played up international locales, Fast & Furious 7 will take the action back to where it all began.
“We are bringing it back to Los Angeles, he says.
Continuing the global exploits in the franchise built on speed, Diesel and Paul Walker lead the returning cast of Fast & Furious 7 with more actors expected to be confirmed soon. James Wan directs this chapter of the hugely successful series, and Diesel and Neal H. Moritz return as producers.
