Identity tells a story of ten strangers stranded by a torrential downpour and being chased by an unseen killer. Fingers are being pointed but the true killers identity remains a mystery.
Identity is a more adult version of Scream. Minus the childish behavior and teenage storyline the twists and turns leave you guessing the meaning behind Identity throughout. You may be able to catch on to subtle hints as I did but it never does click until the climactic revelation.
As evil stalks the stranded guests of the rain drenched motel we are taken in and out of real time to witness events taking place in the past to allow viewers to piece together the puzzle.
Everything is a clue into where the movie is going and you may even be frustrated with yourself for not seeing it by the end.
Cusack and Liotta turn in stellar performances complimenting each other to the point where their actions add another insight into the plot.
If you are a true thriller fan don’t overlook Identity as it will have you guessing throughout and then trying to figure out all there is to know long after you have left the theater.
