Academy-Award winner Geena Davis and Joan Chen have joined Jessica Chastain, Common, Colin Farrell and John Malkovich in Eve, according to Deadline. No specifics were given about the roles Davis and Chen will play.

While details on the plot of Eve are scarce, the film is said to be a character study that revolves around a female assassin. Chastain will both star and produce Eve using her production company Freckle Films and Voltage Films.
Eve will be directed by Tate Taylor (The Help, The Eyes of Tammy Faye) following the departure of original helmer Matthew Newton. In addition to Chastain, Kelly Carmichael, Nicolas Chartier, and Dominic Rustam will produce through Freckle Films. Jonathan Deckter will be executive producer and Babacar Diene will serve as co-producer for Voltage Films.
Davis has spent a majority of the past four years playing Dr. Nicole Herman on TV’s Grey’s Anatomy. She won an Oscar for The Accidental Tourist in 1988, and has appeared in iconic films such as Tim Burton’s Beetlejuice, Ridley Scott’s Thelma & Louise, and Penny Marshall’s A League of Their Own. Her previous experience with action included the lead roles in the 1995 bomb Cutthroat Island and the 1996 cult classic The Long Kiss Goodnight.
Chen recently starred in the Netflix series Marco Polo. She has appeared in The Last Emperor, David Lynch’s Twin Peaks, and Lust, Caution. She has also directed two films, including Autumn in New York starring Richard Here and Winona Ryder.
