Sony Shifts Release Dates for Holmes & Watson and More

Sony has announced a handful of release date changes, which includes BrightBurn, The Possession of Hannah GraceThe Intruder, and Holmes & Watson.

BrightBurn, from James Gunn, was set to open on November 30, but has now been pushed back to May 24, 2019.

Furthermore, The Possession of Hannah Grace (formerly known as Cadaver), starring Shay Mitchell (Pretty Little Liars), and written by Brian Sieve (Boogeyman 2) will now slide into the November 30 spot.

The film centers on a disgraced ex-cop and recovering addict who takes a job in a graveyard shift at the morgue of the hospital in which she got sober. Soon after a mysterious and brutally massacred body is delivered to the morgue, the woman begins to witness terrorizing and violent murders, leading her to face off against an evil entity.

Meanwhile, Deon Taylor’s psychological thriller The Intruder has been dated for April 26, 2019.

The Intruder centers on a young married couple (Michael Ealy and Meaghan Good) who buys a beautiful Napa Valley home only to find that the man they bought it from (Dennis Quaid) refuses to let go of the property… and he slowly terrorizes them.

The Will Ferrell/John C. Reilly comedy Holmes & Watson has moved up from its original December 21 release date to Christmas Day.

Holmes & Watson also stars Hugh Laurie and Ralph Fiennes. Ferrell will play the 21B Baker Street sleuth, and Reilly will play Dr. Watson in this humorous take on Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s classic mysteries featuring Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Watson. Holmes & Watson is written and directed by Etan Cohen (Get Hard) with Mosaic and Gary Sanchez Productions producing. The movie is set to arrive in theaters on December 21, 2018.
