While Jennifer Garner is currently starring in the revenge thriller, Peppermint, the veteran actress has a lighter project in mind for her next film.
Via The Hollywood Reporter, Garner has been signed to star in Yes Day, a Netflix original film. Yes Day is based upon the New York Times best-selling children’s novel by Amy Krouse Rosenthal and illustrator Tom Lichtenheld, The idea behind Yes Day is that the titular event is an annual occurrence where parents must say “yes” to anything that their children ask for. Garner supposedly has her own Yes Day celebration with her children, according to THR.
Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day director Miguel Arteta will reunite with Garner for Yes Day. Garner will also produce the movie, which has a script by Justin Malen.

Yes Day may be far from Garner’s action-oriented roles in Alias, Elektra, and Peppermint, it’s not her first foray into comedy. Garner has previously starred in Juno, The Invention of Lying, Valentine’s Day, and Love Simon. Garner and former Doctor Who star David Tennant are also headlining Camping, a new HBO comedy series. Within that show, Garner will play Kathryn, the controlling wife of Tennant’s Walt. Janicza Bravo, Arturo Del Puerto, Brett Gelman, Juliette Lewis, and Ione Skye co-star in the series. The eight episode limited series depicts a weekend camping trip that goes hilariously off the rails. Camping is set premiere on HBO on October 14.
