Tim Story’s Ride Along looks like it’s about to pick up another passenger in John Leguizamo. The Hollywood Reporter brings word that the Kick-Ass 2 star will play an undercover cop alongside Ice Cube and Kevin Hart.
The action comedy arrives from New Line Cinema and features Cube as a rogue cop with a soft spot for his sister. When she reveals she’s engaged to an upper-crust white psychiatrist, the cop sets out to destroy the relationship by inviting his future brother-in-law (Hart) on a ride-along.
Chris Bender and JC Spink will be executive producers and Cube and Larry Brezner also will be involved in a producing capacity. Greg Coolidge wrote the script, and Steve Faber and Bob Fisher did a rewrite.
