It was announced earlier this year that Crazy, Stupid, Love directors Glenn Ficarra and John Requa will helm Warner Bros.’ Focus. Today, Deadline reports that Ben Affleck is in talks to star.
The film is said to involve a romance between a professional conman and someone just learning the criminal art and how their past relationship comes back into play when they meet up again years later.
Early plans were for Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone to headline but that no longer seems to be the case, leading Warner Bros. to search for a new female lead.
Argo, Affleck’s latest as both as star and director, hits theaters this Friday, October 12.
