Universal Pictures’ Kick-Ass 2 is set to begin shooting this Friday and director Jeff Wadlow has taken to Twitter with a number of photos from the pre-production. The latest offers a tease of Mother Russia and, though we still don’t know who is playing the part, the sheer scale of the Mark Millar character has definitely been matched.
“Chris just met Mother Russia!” Wadlow writes, alongside the below image:
Mintz-Plasse joins Aaron Johnson, Chloe Moretz, Jim Carrey, John Leguizamo, Donald Faison, Robert Emms, Morris Chestnut and Lindy Booth in the sequel, which features a script by Matthew Vaughn.
Wadlow has also Tweeted a number of other photo teases about the shoot, including a look at what will become Hit-Girl’s Ducati.
“We just got Hit Girl’s bike,” he writes. “Guess what color we’re gonna paint it?”
“I am totally keeping it,” Moretz responded.
“You’re gonna have to fight Mother Russia for it…” shot back Wadlow.
Other photos, which you can check out below, include a look at the film’s costumes, sets and props, including Mother Russia’s massive blade.
