Kevin Costner is eyeing roles in both the upcoming Jack Ryan film and in a Luc Besson-produced action thriller called Three Days to Kill, Deadline reports.
Set to be directed by Kenneth Branagh, the still-untitled Jack Ryan film would cast Costner as the CIA mentor to Chris Pine’s Ryan.
Three Days to Kill, meanwhile, is written by Besson Adi Hasak and would feature Costner as Ethan Renner, a dying assassin who takes up one final assignment. The outlet notes that McG is potentially interested in directing.
Recently the star of the television miniseries “Hatfields and McCoys,” Costner can soon be seen as Jonathan “Pa” Kent in the upcoming Superman reboot, Man of Steel.
