The casting for director Francis Lawrence’s The Hunger Games: Catching Fire continues to roll in and the latest character to be cast is District 12’s Head Peacekeeper Romulus Thread, to be played by “Sons of Anarchy” co-star Patrick St. Esprit, says Variety.
In the second novel of the popular series by Suzanne Collins, Jennifer Lawrence’s Katniss and Josh Hutcherson’s Peeta head out on a victory tour of the districts of Panem but with revolution rearing its head, President Snow sends more Peacekeepers to District 12, led by new Head Peacekeeper Romulus Thread, as they announce a very special 75th Anniversary Hunger Games.
Besides playing Elliot Oswald over three seasons of the FX drama “Sons of Anarchy,” St. Esprit has appeared in two Paul Greengrass films, United 93 and Green Zone, as well as having a military authority role in J.J. Abrams’ Super 8.
The cast is already made up of Lawrence, Hutcherson, as well as returning actors Liam Hemsworth, Donald Sutherland, Elizabeth Banks, Woody Harrelson and Stanley Tucci, and new cast members Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Amanda Plummer, Jena Malone and Lynn Cohen.
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire is scheduled for release on November 22, 2013.
