Mickey Rourke is in talks to join the cast of Albert Hughes’ Motor City, Deadline reports. They also confirm that the actor is still on track to reprise his role as Marv in Robert Rodriguez’s Sin City: A Dame to Kill For.
Set to star Gerard Butler, Motor City is about an ex-convict (Butler) tracking down those that framed him to get revenge.
The script for A Dame to Kill For, meanwhile, was confirmed to feature Marv last year and the actor told ComingSoon.net that, despite a dislike of the heavy prosthetics that the role requires, he’d be interested in returning.
“It depends,” he said, “It depends on how bad they want me. You feel me?… I did [like the character], but I’m claustrophobic, so the the hours of makeup — You have to keep it on for about 13 or 14 hours a day. It’s latex and glue and that stuff that gets my eyes all red…”
Both projects are set to begin production soon, with A Dame to Kill For targeting an October 4, 2013 release.
