Heat Vision reports that Fanboys director Kyle Newman is developing the “Star Wars”-themed Chewie, which will tell the story of actor Peter Mayhew’s life during the making of the 1977 classic.
Chewie was high up on the 2011 Black List of “Unproduced” Screenplays” and was described as follows:

A satirical behind the scenes look at the making of Star Wars through the eyes of Peter Mayhew who played Chewbacca.
The film will track Mayhew as he tries to balance a career as a hospital worker while chasing Hollywood dreams by playing the Chewbacca character.
