Insidious’ Lin Shaye joins The Grudge reboot
Following the recent announcement that John Cho was joining Sony‘s reimagining of the horror classic The Grudge, Variety reports that Insidious star Lin Shaye is also joining the reboot. The actress will be starring alongside Cho, Demian Bichir (The Nun), and Andrea Riseborough (Waco). The project was written by Nicolas Pesce (The Eyes of My Mother), who will also direct the film.
Sam Raimi, who produced the first two installments of the American versions of the horror trilogy, is producing alongside Rob Tapert for Ghost House. Regarding the project, Raimi stated: “We are so excited about this new adaptation. Gellar returned for a 2006 sequel, but not for the third film, which went direct to home video. The Japanese Ju-On franchise is currently at nine feature films.
