Lily James is in talks to star in an untitled Danny Boyle comedy
Lily James (Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, Darkest Hour) is in talks to take the lead role in an upcoming comedy from director Danny Boyle (127 Hours, Slumdog Millionaire), according to Variety. The Working Title/Universal Pictures film has a script from Richard Curtis, writer and director of Love Actually. Curtis and Boyle will also be producers on the film.
Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner will produce for Working Title along with Matt Wilkinson and Bernie Bellew. Executive producing are Nick Angel and Lee Brazier. Erik Baiers will oversee the film for Universal.
Lily James is known for her work in films like Pride and Prejudice and Zombies where she played Elizabeth Bennet, Baby Driver for Edgar Wright and Darkest Hour, for which lead actor Gary Oldman just won the Best Actor Academy Award. She’s also appeared in the TV series Downton Abbey and the miniseries War & Peace.
Danny Boyle is known for directing films like 127 Hours and Slumdog Millionaire. He recently directed Steve Jobs and the upcoming series about John Paul Getty Trust for FX.
