Warner Bros. Pictures has revealed the new TV spot for The Dark Knight Rises which reveals that Thomas Lennon has a small role in the movie. You can check it out below!
Opening in theaters and IMAX on July 20th, Christopher Nolan’s third and final Batman movie stars Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Anne Hathaway, Tom Hardy, Gary Oldman, Marion Cotillard, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Morgan Freeman.
It has been eight years since Batman vanished into the night, turning, in that instant, from hero to fugitive. Assuming the blame for the death of D.A. Harvey Dent, the Dark Knight sacrificed everything for what he and Commissioner Gordon both hoped was the greater good. For a time the lie worked, as criminal activity in Gotham City was crushed under the weight of the anti-crime Dent Act.
But everything will change with the arrival of a cunning cat burglar with a mysterious agenda. Far more dangerous, however, is the emergence of Bane, a masked terrorist whose ruthless plans for Gotham drive Bruce out of his self-imposed exile. But even if he dons the cape and cowl again, Batman may be no match for Bane.
In a strange twist of events, ComingSoon.net interviewed Lennon during the press junket for Bad Teacher last summer and, as always, the comedian took the interview in some strange directions. After the conversation turned to a discussion about Christopher Nolan, we even joke that the interview itself is going to be his audition reel for The Dark Knight Rises. Now it looks it really paid off after all! Check out the original interview in the bottom player.
