DisneyPixar’s 13th animated feature film Brave opens in theaters nationwide today. Set in Ancient Scotland, it features the voice of Kelly Macdonald (“Boardwalk Empire”) as Princess Merida, a feisty teenager who just wants to ride her horse and shoot arrows with her bow, but whose parents King Fergus and Queen Elinor (Billy Connolly, Emma Thompson) would prefer to marry her off to a suitor from one of the neighboring clans. At her wit’s end, Merida turns to an unlikely individual she encounters to help change her mother’s mind to disastrous results.
