Deadline reports that Emmy Award winner and Better Call Saul star Bob Odenkirk has signed on to produce and star in the STXfilms project Nobody, an action thriller from the producers of John Wick and Atomic Blonde.
In the film, Odenkirk will play a man who comes to the defense of a woman being harassed by thugs, only to learn later that one of the men he put in the hospital is the brother of a drug kingpin, now out for vengeance.
Writer Derek Kolstad, who penned both John Wick and John Wick: Chapter 2, will write the script which has directors David Leitch and Chad Stahelski serving as executive producers. Odenkirk will produce alongside Marc Provissiero and Braden Aftergood (Hell or High Water, Wind River).
Odenkirk can be seen in theaters now in Steven Spielberg’s The Post, playing actual Washington Post journalist Ben Bagdikian, and he has a brief appearance in The Disaster Artist. He can next be seen in the upcoming fourth season of Better Call Saul, the prequel spin-off of Breaking Bad telling the story of his character’s descent to being a sleazy attorney in the original series. The actor can also be heard in the long-awaited Pixar sequel, Incredibles 2.
