Douglas Booth and Logan Lerman have joined the cast of Darren Aronofsky’s Noah, Deadline reports. They’ll appear opposite Russell Crowe, Jennifer Connelly and Saoirse Ronan in the Paramount Pictures film.
Noah is a close adaptation of the Biblical story of Noah’s Ark. In a world ravaged by human sin, Noah is given a divine mission: to build an Ark to save creation from the coming flood. The screenplay was written by Aronofsky and Ari Handel and revised by Academy Award-nominated screenwriter John Logan (Gladiator, Hugo).
Booth, who will appear opposite Hailee Steinfeld in the upcoming Romeo and Juliet, will play Noah’s son Shem with Logan Lerman (The Perks of Being a Wallflower) playing another son, Ham.
Noah is set for release on March 28, 2014.
