Kristen Stewart has lined up a leading role in the action film Cali, Variety reports.
30 Minutes of Less screenwriter Michael Diliberti is providing the screenplay, which will feature Stewart as Mya, a young woman who, with her boyfriend, Chris, fakes her own death as part of a snuff film and runs away. Years later, she has to return to the San Fernando valley in an effort to save her sisters.
There’s no director currently attached, but the plan is to shoot this summer with Diliberti, Craig J. Flores and Zev Foreman producing and Nicolas Chartier and Brian Levy executive producing.
Stewart can be seen later this year in three very different projects: the Rupert Sanders fantasy epic Snow White and the Huntsman, Walter Salles’ Jack Kerouac adaptation On the Road and Bill Condon’s vampire-finale, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2.
