Ben Affleck and Justin Timberlake are set to headline Runner Runner for New Regency, Variety reports. Details are currently few are on the film’s plot, but the project is said to be a thriller involving online gambling.
Brad Furman (The Lincoln Lawyer) will direct the project, which features a script from Brian Koppelman and David Levien, who previously dealt with gambling in both Rounders and Ocean’s Thirteen.
Timberlake appeared last year in Bad Teacher, In Time and Friends with Benefits. He’s currently shooting Trouble with the Curve for Clint Eastwood and Inside Llewyn Davis for the Coen brothers.
Affleck, meanwhile, last appeared in The Town, which he directed. His next project as a director/actor is Warner Bros.’ Argo, set for release this fall.
Producers on Runner Runner include Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Davisson Killoran, Michael Shamberg, Stacey Sher and Scott Steindorff.
