Back in November of 2016, it was reported that Universal Pictures and DreamWorks Animation were not moving forward with The Croods 2, but that all changes today as the companies have set a September 18, 2020 release date for the sequel! They have also dated Spooky Jack for a September 17, 2021 release.
In 2013, the world was introduced to the first family of the prehistoric era, The Croods. The Academy Award-nominated comedy about a clan dealing with their changing world captivated global audiences, reminding us of the timeless importance of family… and just how little we’ve evolved.
In September 2020, DreamWorks Animation invites you on an all-new adventure back in time with The Croods 2. Returning stars Nicolas Cage, Emma Stone, Ryan Reynolds, Catherine Keener, Cloris Leachman and Clark Duke welcome Leslie Mann to the film’s cast as The Croods face their biggest threat since leaving the cave: another family.
From DreamWorks Animation and the delightfully twisted king of scares Jason Blum comes Spooky Jack, a comic look under the bed and in the closet of kids’ imaginations. When three siblings move into an eerie new home and discover that all the creatures we’ve been told don’t exist… do, they must handle some unusual squatters from mischievous leprechauns and the elusive Big Foot to a shy Boogeyman that won’t stop going bump in the night.
Written by Robert Ben Garant (Night at the Museum, The Pacifier) and produced by DreamWorks Animation’s Damon Ross, Spooky Jack is executive produced by Blum (Paranormal Activity series).
