Roland Emmerich is in talks to direct Sony Pictures’ White House Down, written by James Vanderbilt (The Amazing Spider-Man), reports Deadline.
Details are being kept under wraps for now, but the storyline concerns a para-military takeover of the White House. Mythology Entertainment partners Bradley Fischer, Vanderbilt and Laeta Kalogridis will produce the film.
The site adds that White House Down will be Emmerich’s next project as director with filming scheduled to begin in the fall. He would then direct Singularity for Sony.
