Gerard Butler is now in talks to play the lead in Albert Hughes’ Motor City, Variety reports.
The revenge thriller is being developed through Dark Castle and sees an ex-convict tracking down those that framed him to get revenge.
Butler, who last starred in Machine Gun Preacher, follows both Dominic Cooper and Jake Gyllenhaal, who both were briefly attached to the project before having to leave for scheduling conflicts.
Amber Heard and Gary Oldman remain attached to Motor City, which is expected to enter production soon, prior to Butler’s next commitment, Olympus Has Fallen.
