Ben Affleck to Headline Nathan Decker

Ben Affleck has signed on to play the lead in Warner Bros.’ Nathan Decker, says a story at The Hollywood Reporter. Scripted by Dan Fogelman, the project is said to be a political comedy that initially was going to have Tom Cruise in the lead.

Fogelman most recently scripted Crazy, Stupid, Love. and has, in the past, worked on family-friendly fare like Cars, Bolt and Tangled.

Affleck’s next — both as a star and as a director — is the period drama, Argo. He’s also attached to direct Warner Bros.’ big-screen version of Stephen King’s The Stand.
