We have a list of new Amazon August titles coming to Amazon Prime Video and Amazon Video which you can check out below!
August brings four highly-anticipated Amazon Original Series available for Prime members to stream or download at no additional cost to their membership:
· Comrade Detective: The Amazon Original Comedy Series co-produced with A24 stars Channing Tatum and Joseph Gordon-Levitt. The series is a cop spoof based on the 1980s Romanian TV series – a sleek and gritty police show that promoted Communist ideals and inspired a deep nationalism. (8/4/17)
Lost in Oz: The Amazon Original Kids Series is a contemporary re-imagining of L. Frank Baum’s extraordinary universe, and follows Dorothy Gale’s journey in a strange new land with her trusty dog Toto. (8/4/17)
The Tick: The Amazon Original Comedy Series stars Peter Serafinowicz, and follows an accountant with no superpowers as he teams up with an unlikely superhero to stop villains from taking over. In addition to HD and SD, The Tick will be available in HDR on compatible HDR devices. (8/25/17)
Tumble Leaf S3: The Emmy Award-winning Amazon Original Kids Series created by Drew Hodges is based on the short film Miro, and chronicles the adventures of a blue fox and his caterpillar friend on Tumble Leaf island as they explore and learn about the world around them. (8/15/17)
In addition to Amazon Original Series, licensed TV series coming to Prime Video next month include Season 1 of PBS’s British drama Victoria and Season 1 of BBC’s drama Undercover. Additionally, popular comedies like Florence Foster Jenkins (Meryl Streep) and Superbad (Jonah Hill), along with horror films like My Bloody Valentine and the full collection of Saw, join existing films on Prime Video.
Amazon Video also welcomes two new titles available for purchase this month, including newly-released film Everything, Everything starring Amandla Stenberg, along with season four of TNT’s action-drama series The Last Ship, with new episodes airing the day after broadcast.
Next month through Amazon Channels, Prime members who subscribe to HBO can watch the adventures of Newt Scamander in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them or follow Natalie Portman’s portrayal of former first lady Jackie Kennedy in the movie, Jackie. Showtime launches season five of Ray Donovan, the “fixer” for Hollywood’s elite, and new documentary about the late, legendary Whitney Houston, Whitney: Can I Be Me. Starz continues Season 4 of Survivor’s Remorse and vampire, action flick Underworld: Blood Wars. Make it a family night by streaming all-new episodes of Daniel Tiger on PBS Kids, or have a date night re-watching hits like Men in Black and Saving Private Ryan on Fullscreen.
