John Cusack and Evan Peters have joined the cast of Treehouse Pictures and Anonymous Content’s Adult World, Deadline reports. They’ll appear opposite Emma Roberts in the leading role of a story officially described is as follows:
Amy (Roberts) is fresh out of the Ivy League and has dreamed of being a great poet since childhood. However, she discovers that adult life is not conducive to achieving her dreams. After exhausting all of the help-wanted ads in the newspaper, she ends up working as a clerk in an adult bookstore after her parents boot her out of their house.
Scott Coffey will direct the project with a script from Andy Cochran and shooting has just begun in Syracuse, New York.
Cusack, who will play a mentor to Amy named Rat Billings, can soon be seen in The Raven and The Paperboy. Peters, meanwhile, starred in this past season of “American Horror Story.”
