Trouble with the Curve Adds Scott Eastwood

Announced last October, Clint Eastwood is planning a return to acting with Trouble with the Curve, to be directed by Robert Lorenz. Today, Variety confirms that the film will be a family affair with his son, Scott Eastwood, signing on as well.

Scott joins a cast that also includes Amy Adams, Justin Timberlake and John Goodman.

From screenwriter Randy Brown, Trouble with the Curve features Eastwood as a baseball scout who is losing his vision with his age just as he and his daughter (Adams) take a final road trip to Atlanta to check out a prospective talent. Scott will play Billy Clark, a minor league player.

Director Lorenz has been working with Eastwood as an assistant director as far back as The Bridges of Madison County. This project will mark his full directing debut and Eastwood’s first time in front of the cameras since 2008’s Gran Torino.

Trouble with the Curve is planned for a September 28th release.
