Collins Drops Evil Dead , Bardem Out of Despicable Me 2 & Moore Exits Lovelace

Three projects have lost actors the last few days.

First up, Mirror Mirror star Lily Collins has had to drop out of the lead role in TriStar Pictures’ Evil Dead remake due to “scheduling issues,” reports Heat Vision. The Fede Alvarez-directed film, which is scheduled for an April 12, 2013 release, had not announced any other cast members yet. Sam Raimi, Bruce Campbell and Rob Tapert are producing.

That site is also reporting that Javier Bardem was in negotiations to voice the villain in Universal and Illumination’s Despicable Me 2. “He was going to voice a villain called El Macho,” they say, but the part is now up for grabs after his departure. The sequel is expected to hit theaters on July 3, 2013.

Entertainment Weekly has the news that Demi Moore has pulled out of the Linda Lovelace biopic Lovelace, which stars Amanda Seyfried, Peter Sarsgaard, Sharon Stone, and many more. She was going to have played women?s rights activist Gloria Steinem in the film.
