Though he’s best known for his acting resume (most recently appearing in Warrior and The Thing), Joel Edgerton has, according to The Hollywood Reporter, now sold his screenplay entitled One Night Stand to New Regency and will stay involved as executive producer. Edgerton previously co-wrote the screenplay for the crime-thriller The Square, directed by his brother Nash Edgerton.
One Night Stand is described as a comedic drama that focuses on a one night stand between a man and a woman and the ensuing consequences.
Edgerton is not intending to star in the project, though he can soon be seen back on the big screen in Baz Luhrmann’s The Great Gatsby and in Peter Hedges’ The Odd Life of Timothy Green.
