News broke last fall that Sylvester Stallone had taken the lead in the upcoming thriller The Tomb, taking over from Arnold Schwarzenegger who was said to be circling the project. Today, Ain’t it Cool News has word that the film may ultimately go to both actors.
The film, formerly set to arrive from director Antoine Fuqua, tells the story of an expert prison designer who has to escape from the very structure that he helped create.
Stallone will still play the lead, but Schwarzenegger is said to be eyeing another key role.
Deadline adds that Mikael Hafstrom is in talks to direct the film.
Both actors will soon appear on screen together in The Expendables 2 along with Bruce Willis who was at one point interested in The Tomb as well.
