Even if you’re not into football, the Super Bowl is generally a great time for movie fans just for the broadcast’s trailer premieres. The Los Angeles Times has confirmed that Paramount Pictures, Universal Pictures and Walt Disney Pictures have all purchased ad space during this year’s game, set to air on February 5th.
Though the specifics ads are not confirmed, new TV spots are likely to include G.I. Joe: Retaliation, Marvel’s The Avengers, John Carter and Battleship.
The bad news for fans is that 20th Century Fox, Sony Pictures and Warner Bros. Pictures are sitting this Super Bowl out meaning that we won’t see new spots for Prometheus, The Amazing Spider-Man, Men in Black 3 or — despite it’s football-related trailer – The Dark Knight Rises.
