First announced in November (under the title The Bitter Pill), Steven Soderbergh’s medical thriller, The Side Effects has found its leading cast. The Playlist reports that Jude Law, Blake Lively and Channing Tatum have all signed on.
The film, reuniting Soderbergh with screenwriter Scott Z. Burns (The Informant!, Contagion) is said to be set in the world of psychopharmacology (the study of how drugs affect the human mind).
Lively is the only newcomer to working alongside Soderbergh. Law appeared in last year’s Contagion and Tatum appears in both Haywire, hitting theaters on January 20th and Magic Mike, arriving June 29th.
