Annabelle Wallis has joined Jeremy Renner and Ed Helms in the upcoming film Tag
Annabelle Wallis has just been cast in the upcoming film Tag, according to Deadline. She’ll join Jeremy Renner (The Hurt Locker, Captain America: Civil War), Ed Helms (The Hangover, The Office), Jake Johnson (New Girl, Jurassic World) and Hannibal Buress (The Eric Andre Show, The Secret Life of Pets) in the film directed by Jeff Tomsic (This is Not Happening, I’m Having a Difficult Time Killing My Parents). The script was written by Mark Steilen and Rob McKitrrick.
The New Line comedy is based on a true story “about a group of friends who have been playing a no-holds-barred version of the children’s game tag for the last 30 years.” The story was featured in a Wall Street Journal feature back in 2013. In “Tag Brothers,” we learned about 10 class mates from Gonzaga Preparatory School in Spokane, WA. 23 years after school, they played the game, secretly entering each other’s homes and scheduling their vacations around the game. Renner and Buress will reportedly play part of the gang. Wallis will reportedly play reporter Rebecca, who follows the guys for the article.
Tag will be produced by Tod Garner, Steilen and Sean Robbins.
Annabelle Wallis has appeared in films like Annabelle and the recent King Arthur: Legend of the Sword with Charlie Hunnam and directed by Guy Ritchie. She played the role of Grace Shelby in the TV series Peaky Blinders and Bridget Pierce in Pan Am with Christina Ricci and Margot Robbie. Wallis will next be seen as Jenny Halsey in the upcoming film The Mummy with Tom Cruise and Sofia Boutella.
