Bill Nighy in Talks for I, Frankenstein Villain

Set to begin production shortly in Victoria, Australia, Stuart Beattie’s I, Frankenstein is in the process of rounding out its cast. Variety reports that Bill Nighy is currently in talks to play the film’s villain, a demon Prince, with Socratis Otto signed for one of that character’s henchmen.

The film tells the modern-day tale of Dr. Frankenstein’s creature, Adam, who nearly centuries after his “birth”, has found himself in a gothic city, caught up in a war between two immortal clans. Though based on the comic by Kevin Grevioux, leading man Aaron Eckhart recently explained to ComingSoon.net that Mary Shelley’s original novel is where he’s currently focusing his attention to build the character.

Nighy next appears as the voice of Grandsanta in Arthur Christmas while Otto can be seen in next year’s Gone

I, Frankenstein is set to be released on February 22, 2013.
