Walt Disney Pictures has dated three of its upcoming titles today.
With the delayed start, Gore Verbinski’s The Lone Ranger will now hit theaters on May 31, 2013, a date it has to itself at the moment. Previously scheduled for a December 21, 2012 release, the adaptation will now start filming on February 6, 2012. Johnny Depp, Armie Hammer, Ruth Wilson, Dwight Yoakam, Helena Bonham Carter, James Badge Dale and Barry Pepper star.
Next up, the studio has set the big screen version of Phineas and Ferb for a release on July 26, 2013. The movie is based on the popular Disney Channel animated series.
The July 26 date was previously occupied by Thor 2, which Disney (owners of Marvel Studios) has now shifted back to a November 15, 2013 release. The sequel currently has that date to itself as well.
