Amber Heard is attached to star in the upcoming film The Kind Worth Killing
Amber Heard (The Danish Girl, Zombieland) is attached to star in the upcoming crime thriller The Kind Worth Killing, according to Deadline. The film will be directed by Agnieszka Holland (Europa Europa, The Secret Garden) and will be produced by Chockstone Pictures and Nick Wechsler Productions, with Paula Mae Schwartz and Steve Schwartz. The script is based on the 2015 HarperCollins novel by Peter Swanson with Christoper Kyle adapting it to screenplay.
The book is the story of Lily Kintner, a woman who meets Ted Severson on a late-night flight from London to Boston. After a few too many drinks, Ted shares that his marriage is failing. He jokes about wanting to kill his wife, and Lily replies, “I’d like to help.” Ted and Lily’s very strange bond is strengthened by their plot, but Lily may not be all that she says she is. The official description goes on to say, “Suddenly these co-conspirators are embroiled in a chilling game of cat-and-mouse, one they both cannot survive… with a shrewd and very determined detective on their tail.” Swanson’s novel has been compared to Paula Hawkins’ “The Girl on the Train,” which was adapted into the 2016 film starring Emily Blunt, Haley Bennett and Rebecca Ferguson.
Heard is currently training the upcoming DC/Warner Bros. film Aquaman, where she’ll play Mera, as you can see in the Instagram post below. She’ll be seen as Mera first in Justice League which will hit theaters on November 17, 2017.
