Callan McAuliffe, best known for his leading role in Flipped, has joined the cast of Alex Proyas’ Paradise Lost. The same article also reports that Diego Boneta is likely for a part as well.
Already set to star Bradley Cooper, Benjamin Walker, Djimon Hounsou and Casey Affleck, the film is an adaptation of John Milton’s 17th-century English poem about the epic war in heaven between archangels Michael (Walker) and Lucifer (Cooper), and will be developed as an action vehicle that will include aerial warfare, possibly shot in 3D.
McAuliffe will play the role of the Archangel Uriel while Boneta, if he signs on, will play the first man, Adam. It was also recently reported that Camilla Belle is likely to take on the role of the first woman, Eve.
In addition to Flipped, McAuliffe has appeared in I Am Number Four and will be featured as a supporting character (a younger version of Leonardo Di Caprio’s Jay Gatsby) in the upcoming The Great Gatsby. Boneta, meanwhile, is set to appear in the upcoming musical, Rock of Ages.
